BIMA D.LINE Insurance ("we", "us", or "our") acts as an insurance agent, purchasing insurance policies on behalf of insurance firms. We provide motor insurance and related services through our mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information.

As an insurance agent, we collect only what is necessary to purchase insurance on your behalf, verify your identity, process payments, and enable biometric login features.
Personal Information:
- Full Name
- Email Address
- Phone Number
Identification Documents & Numbers:
- Government-issued ID (National ID / Passport)
- KRA PIN (Kenya Revenue Authority PIN)
Biometric Information:
- Fingerprint or facial recognition data (used solely for secure login and identity verification within the app)
We do not collect sensitive information beyond what is necessary for insurance underwriting, identity verification, fraud prevention, and secure authentication.
Core Operations (Active):
- Purchase insurance policies on your behalf from insurance firms
- Provide and enhance our motor insurance services
- Process transactions and premium payments
Safety & Compliance (Active):
- Send service-related communications (policy updates, renewal reminders)
- Implement anti-fraud measures
- Verify identity using ID, KRA PIN, and biometrics
- Comply with insurance regulatory requirements in Kenya
We will not use your information for purposes incompatible with those listed above without your consent.
We use encryption technologies and secure servers to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or biometric storage is 100% secure.
Storage location: Data stored in compliance with Kenyan data protection laws and insurance regulations.
Retention period: Only as long as necessary for insurance policy administration and legal requirements — then securely deleted or anonymized.
Biometric data is stored locally on your device where possible, or in encrypted form, and never shared with third parties except as required by law.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it only in these limited circumstances:
- With your consent: e.g., when you authorize us to purchase an insurance policy from an insurance firm on your behalf.
- Service providers: trusted third parties for payment processing, identity verification, fraud detection, or hosting.
- Insurance firms: we share your name, ID, KRA PIN, vehicle details, and contact information to obtain insurance quotes and bind policies.
- Legal compliance: if required by law, regulation, or government request (including insurance regulators in Kenya).
- Protection of rights: to enforce our terms, protect user safety, or prevent fraud.
We do NOT share your biometric data with any third party except when compelled by law.
As a client in Kenya, you have the following rights under applicable data protection law:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your data, subject to legal and insurance retention requirements.
- Opt-out: Withdraw consent for certain data processing activities (e.g., marketing, biometric login).

You may delete your account and associated data by:
- Emailing info@bimadline.com from your registered email address.
- Following in-app account deletion instructions (if available).
Upon a verified request, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by insurance law, pending claims, or regulatory obligations.
Our services are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
Our app may include third-party SDKs for payment processing, identity verification, analytics, and biometric authentication. These may collect device information (e.g., IP address, device ID). Their practices are governed by their own privacy policies. Specific integrations (e.g., insurance underwriter APIs, payment gateways) will be listed here as they are added.
If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated policy within the app and/or sending a notice to your registered email. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
